Steps to make Juicy Nikuman (Steamed Pork Buns) in a Bread Maker:
  1. Put all the ingredients for the bun dough into your bread machine. Be sure to put the sugar and the yeast in together, and put the salt in to the side so that it doesn't touch the yeast.
  2. Set the bread maker for the first rising, and allow the dough to rise. It takes about 1.5 hours. The dough is ready when it has doubled in size.
  3. While the dough is rising, prepare the ingredients for the filling. Dice all of the vegetables into 1 cm chunks. Mix the seasonings, meat, and chopped vegetables, and knead them together.
  4. Divide the filling into 10 portions, shape them into balls, and refrigerate. I took 4 of the meat balls and decided to try making them curry flavored by mixing them with some leftover curry that I had.
  5. Divide the risen dough into 10 portions and shape them into balls. Each ball will weigh about 50 g.
  6. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough balls out into circles like this. The center should be a little thicker, and the edges will be on the thin side.
  7. Set the balls of filling into the rolled out dough circles, and, making little pleats as you go, wrap the dough up and close it tightly. If you don't pinch them tightly, the buns will come open when steaming.
  8. They should look like this. Cut out 10 x 10 cm squares of parchment paper and set each bun on a square.
  9. Set the buns into a steamer, spacing them apart. Steam for 15 minutes. Do NOT open the lid when steaming!
  10. Look how big they got! One of the buns came open…you can see the meat juices inside. Eat with spicy mustard and soy sauce.

Combine all ingredients into a stand mixer mixing bowl and with a dough hook attachment, stir everything together. Also known as kareeman, Japanese steamed curry buns are filled with vegetable mixture and curry-flavored mince. These buns resemble steamed pork buns, but for the steamed curry buns you can use any type of minced meat. My goal was to make pork buns similar to those from a particular famous restaurant in Osaka, but these came out so juicy that they're more like jumbo-sized soup dumplings! It was close enough for my mom to poke her head out the balcony and make sure I was safe.

Try Using Food to Improve Your Mood

Most of us think that comfort foods are terrible for us and that we ought to stay away from them. At times, if your comfort food is essentially candy or other junk foods, this is true. Other times, though, comfort foods can be completely nutritious and it’s good for you to consume them. There are several foods that basically can boost your moods when you consume them. When you are feeling a little down and need an emotional pick-me-up, try a couple of these.

Eggs, would you believe, are fantastic for helping you fight depression. Just be sure that you do not throw away the yolk. When you would like to cheer yourself up, the egg yolk is the most crucial part of the egg. Eggs, the yolks especially, are loaded with B vitamins. These B vitamins are great for helping to elevate your mood. This is because these vitamins increase the function of your brain’s neural transmitters (the parts of the brain that affect how you feel). Try to eat an egg and feel better!

Make a trail mixout of a variety of seeds and nuts. Almonds, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etc are all helpful for raising your mood. This is because these foods are loaded with magnesium, which helps to raise serotonin production. Serotonin is the “feel good” chemical that dictates to your brain how you feel day in and day out. The more serotonin you have, the more pleasant you are going to feel. Not just that but nuts, in particular, are a fantastic protein food source.

Cold water fish are excellent if you wish to feel happier. Salmon, herring, tuna, mackerel, trout, and so on, they’re all chock-full of omega-3 and DHA. These are two things that improve the quality and the function of your brain’s gray matter. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can earnestly elevate your mood.

It’s not difficult to drive away your bad mood when you eat grains. Quinoa, barley, teff, millet, etc are all excellent for helping you be in a happier state of mind. They help you feel full as well which can actually help to make your mood better. It’s not difficult to feel depressed when you feel famished! The reason these grains are so great for your mood is that they are not difficult to digest. They are simpler to digest than other foods which helps raise your blood sugar levels and that, in turn, improves your mood.

Your mood could truly be helped by green tea. You were just waiting to read that, weren’t you? Green tea is packed full of an amino acid called L-theanine. Studies have found that this particular amino acid can essentially induce brain waves. This will better your brain’s focus while at the same calming the rest of your body. You were already aware that that green tea helps you become healthier. Now you are aware that green tea helps you to lift your moods too!

As you can see, you don’t need to eat junk food or foods that are not good for you just so to feel better! Go with these hints instead!
