Cheese Flan

Hey everyone, it’s me again, Dan, welcome to my recipe page. Today, I will show you a way to make a distinctive dish, cheese flan. It is one of my favorites. This time, I will make it a little bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Cheese Flan is one of the most favored of current trending meals in the world. It is simple, it is quick, it tastes delicious. It is appreciated by millions every day. They are fine and they look wonderful. Cheese Flan is something that I’ve loved my entire life.

This smooth cream cheese flan topped with a golden brown caramel is an elegant dessert that can be baked and chilled until serving. Do not confuse a classic cheese and onion flan with a quiche. While this baked egg recipe may resemble the traditional French dish, the flan is made differently and tastes a little different. It is the traditional British version of the ubiquitous quiche and, for many Brits, is the stuff of memories.

To get started with this recipe, we must prepare a few components. You can cook cheese flan using 9 ingredients and 19 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Cheese Flan:
  1. Make ready Flan
  2. Get 2 packages cream cheese - 8 ounces each
  3. Get 6 eggs
  4. Prepare 1 can condensed sweetened milk - 14 ounces
  5. Take 1 can evaporated milk - 12 ounces
  6. Get 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  7. Prepare Caramel
  8. Make ready 1 cup sugar
  9. Get 1/3 cup water

Then mix in sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk and vanilla extract. Rich and Creamy Flan with a beautiful amber sauce makes for a striking presentation. If you like cheese cake you will love this. You can add a bit of Amaretto Liquor if you like, or serve with a little Kahlua Liquor and a dollop of whipped cream.

Steps to make Cheese Flan:
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F
  2. In a medium saucepan or kettle boil roughly 4 cups of water
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar & water over medium low heat
  4. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved
  5. Continue heating over medium low heat, without stirring, for another 10-15 minutes until it turns a deep amber color
  6. Once is it ready, pour into a 11×7×2 baking dish
  7. Completely coat the bottom of the dish & set aside
  8. Throw the cream cheese & eggs into a blender & blend until smooth
  9. Pour half of this mixture into a large bowl
  10. In the blender with the remaining amount of mixture, add both the condensed & evaporated milk. Blend until smooth
  11. Combine this mixture with the other half of the cheese & egg mixture. Whisk together thoroughly
  12. Pour into the caramel coated baking dish
  13. Put the 11×7×2 dish into a 9×13×2 dish
  14. Pour the 4 cups of water, which should now be boiling, into the 9×13×2 dish until it halfway reaches the 11×7×2 dish
  15. It's okay if you don't use all the boiling water as long as it halfway reaches the 11×7×2
  16. Cover the entire thing with foil, including the 9×13×2 dish
  17. Place in the over for 40-45 minutes
  18. You can test for readiness by inserting a knife through the center of the flan. If it comes out clean, it is ready
  19. Let it cool for an hour, then place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours

If you like cheese cake you will love this. You can add a bit of Amaretto Liquor if you like, or serve with a little Kahlua Liquor and a dollop of whipped cream. There's coconut flan which is very popular with a flavorful twist, and then there is cheese flan which is made with cream cheese. Puerto Rican flan de queso is like flan met cheesecake and they had the most scrumptious love baby. Silky smooth, lush, slightly dense…the cream cheese adds a mild tang which keeps this flan from becoming too sweet.

Foods That Can Make You Happy

Mostly, people have been trained to believe that “comfort” foods are not good for the body and should be avoided. If your comfort food is candy or junk food this holds true. Other times, comfort foods can be perfectly nourishing and good for us to eat. There are several foods that really can raise your moods when you consume them. If you are feeling a little bit down and you’re needing an emotional pick me up, try several of these.

Eggs, would you believe, are wonderful for helping you combat depression. You need to make sure, however, that what you make includes the egg yolk. Every time you want to cheer yourself up, the egg yolk is the most essential part of the egg. Eggs, particularly the egg yolks, are rich in B vitamins. These B vitamins are great for helping to raise your mood. This is because they help in improving the function of your neural transmitters, the components of your brain that dictate your mood. Try eating an egg and jolly up!

Put together a trail mix from seeds and/or nuts. Almonds, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etc are all helpful for improving your mood. This is because these foods are rich in magnesium, which helps to raise serotonin production. Serotonin is called the “feel good” chemical substance and it tells your brain how you should be feeling at all times. The more of it in your brain, the happier you’ll feel. Not just that but nuts, in particular, are a great source of protein.

Cold water fish are good if you wish to feel better. Salmon, herring, tuna fish, mackerel, trout, etc, they’re all high in omega-3s and DHA. These are two substances that boost the quality and function of the gray matter in your brain. It’s the truth: consuming tuna fish sandwiches can actually help you battle your depression.

Some grains are actually wonderful for driving away bad moods. Quinoa, barley, millet, etc are excellent at helping you feel better. These grains fill you up better and that can help improve your moods also. Feeling starved can actually make you feel terrible! These grains can improve your mood as it’s not at all difficult for your body to digest them. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps kick start a rise in your sugar levels which in turn brings up your mood to a happier place.

Green tea is fantastic for moods. You were simply waiting to read that here, weren’t you? Green tea has been found to be packed full of an amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies show that this specific amino acid can essentially induce brain waves. This will improve your brain’s concentration while at the same loosening up the rest of your body. You already knew that green tea helps you become better. And now you know green tea can help raise your mood also!

As you can see, you don’t have to turn to junk food or foods that are terrible for you to feel better! Try several of these instead!
